Originally from Bengal, Kanthas consist of multiple layers of discarded cloth sewn together using a parallel running stitch or kantha stitch. Colourful decorative motifs are subsequently embroidered over the quilted base fabric. Click here to know more about kantha.

The cushion is hand-embroidered with the base kantha technique that adds a tridimensional surface to the cushion’s cover.
